The weekly operating review
A thirty-minute loop with four questions that keeps a practice, a product, or a life from quietly drifting.
A weekly review is the smallest reliable loop for keeping a practice, a product, or a life honest. Thirty minutes prevents months of drift.
The four questions
- What moved? Name real progress, not activity.
- What stalled, and why? Separate "hard" from "avoided".
- What did I learn? One durable lesson, written down.
- What is the single most important thing next week? Exactly one.
Running it
Same time every week. Keep the artifact — the value compounds when you can read six reviews back and see the pattern you were too close to notice.
